After another busy midweek for both sides, Crystal Palace and Brentford are out to continue their bright starts to the campaign in a clash at Selhurst Park in the Premier League this afternoon.

Crystal Palace come into this one on the back of hammering a heavily rotated and weakened Liverpool side 3-0 at Anfield in the fourth round of the EFL Cup in midweek; which was their third defeat of under-fire Arne Slot's English champions this season.

Brentford, having themselves beaten Liverpool last weekend, then annihilated League One outfit Wycombe Wanderers 5-0 to move themselves into the mid-December quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.

AllSportsPeople brings you our betting preview, complete with the latest tips, predictions and odds as Crystal Palace host a London derby against Brentford.

Crystal Palace vs. Brentford: Who will win today?

Crystal Palace's 18-match unbeaten run faded into a four-match winless streak before their much-needed Carabao Cup victory over Liverpool in midweek and the Eagles will now hope they can re-establish some consistency and form.

Brentford have been surprisingly strong this season, or at least effective from key moments, following the appointment of set-piece specialist Keith Andrews over the summer.

It may be quite a low-scoring affair down in Croydon (six of the 11 league goals at Selhurst Park this season came in one match) with Palace’s style typically better suited to the counter-attack and Brentford also preferring to exploit the weaknesses and space of the opposition.

  • Overall, there have been 46 matches between these two sides and Crystal Palace have won on 18 occasions with Brentford winning 16 matches.

Crystal Palace vs. Brentford Score Prediction

Crystal Palace have been used to exploiting teams as the underdogs, whilst Brentford head to Croydon looking to base most of their attacks on set-pieces and setting traps for the opposition in possession.

The last time that Palace hosted a team of a similar profile came last month when they shared a goalless draw with Sunderland and a similar scoreline isn't out of the equation here.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-0 Brentford (12/1 with Bet365)
