Brighton vs. Leeds prediction, lineups, odds, TV and bet builder tips for this Premier League clash at the AMEX image

The return of the Premier League this afternoon features an intriguing encounter on the south coast as Brighton and Hove Albion face Leeds United at the AMEX Stadium.

Some supporters have become frustrated with Fabian Hurzeler’s style of football after Brighton suffered a 2-0 loss to a heavily rotated Arsenal side in the fourth round of the EFL Cup in midweek.

Leeds have been far more competitive than expected before the season with Daniel Farke - a prominent feature in the sack race market because of his Premier League record - leading his side to a 2-1 defeat of struggling West Ham United at Elland Road last weekend.

AllSportsPeople brings you our betting preview, complete with the latest tips, predictions and odds as Brighton welcome a battling Leeds down to the south coast.

Brighton vs. Leeds preview: Who will win?

Leeds will try and seize the opportunity to try and put a bit more pressure on Hurzeler, with Brighton supporters not necessarily aggressive in their view, but certainly becoming a lot louder in terms of their dissatisfaction of the 13th placed Seagulls.

They can put in excellent performances and can control sides with possession but Leeds’ new counter-attacking style will fancy that and will believe they can spring a surprise at the AMEX Stadium.

Head-to-Head: Brighton vs. Leeds

  • In their most recent outing, Brighton and Leeds shared an entertaining 2-2 draw in the Premier League at Elland Road in May 2023, as Leeds plummeted to relegation.
  • That draw means that the Seagulls are now unbeaten in their last six matches against the Yorkshire giants, with Leeds having won just two of the last 19 matches between the two.
  • Overall, Brighton have won 19 of the 51 games between the two sides with 14 draws and 18 Leeds victories in those matches.

Brighton vs. Leeds Score Prediction

The bookies have Brighton as the comfortable favourites given their home advantage, but the Seagulls will feel the pressure against a Leeds side content with sitting back and springing on the counter-attack.

As they have showed on occasion this season, Leeds can be effective in transition and they will fancy their chances of punishing an often profligate home team.

Despite their obvious attacking firepower, Brighton have managed seven goals from their four home matches, less than anyone above them in the table with the exception of Aston Villa who didn't score in their first two.

Prediction: Brighton 1-2 Leeds (14/1 with Bet365)
