Bournemouth vs. West Ham prediction, lineups, odds, TV and bet builder tips for Premier League clash image

AFC Bournemouth need to get back on track this weekend at the Vitality Stadium as they take on a West Ham United side that finally found a bit of form before the November international break.

It is forgivable for any side to lose 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City but Bournemouth backed that up with a 4-0 shellacking at Villa Park at Villa Park and the Cherries are now under a bit of pressure to get back on the winning track in the Premier League.

West Ham continued to struggle despite replacing Graham Potter with Nuno Espirito Santo but the Irons went into the break on the back of back-to-back much-needed victories at the London Stadium against Newcastle United and then Burnley.

Can Bournemouth get back on track or will West Ham continue their recent resurgence? AllSportsPeople brings you this betting preview  complete with the latest tips and odds.

Bournemouth vs. West Ham preview: Who will win?

Bournemouth play an intense and aggressive style of football and they will overwhelm many at the Vitality Stadium but Nuno is someone who can instill a defensive tenacity to frustrate most teams.

That said, even his high-flying Nottingham Forest side were beaten 5-0 by Andoni Iraola’s Cherries and Bournemouth should be favoured to get themselves back to winning ways.

  • The most recent clash between Bournemouth and West Ham came at the London Stadium in April as the two sides shared an entertaining 2-2 draw.
  • That was the fourth draw between the two sides but did extend West Ham’s unbeaten run of form to nine matches against the Cherries.
  • Overall, the two sides have clashed just 22 times with Bournemouth winning just four of those and West Ham coming out on top on nine occasions.

Bournemouth vs. West Ham Score Prediction

The one concern that an Iraola-led side would have would be breaking down deep and regimented blocks but they comfortably beat Forest last month after putting three past Palace, too, and so they should grind themselves out another much-needed victory.

Prediction: Bournemouth 2-0 West Ham (17/2 with Bet365)

Bournemouth vs. West Ham Team News

Bournemouth Team News

  • Andoni Iraola would have been concerned about an injury to Alex Scott after his England callup but he was left out of both matchday squads with the Three Lions and so should be fresh for this.
  • Antoine Semenyo, the subject of a fair bit of transfer speculation for the January transfer window, is a major doubt for this one alongside Adam Smith, Tyler Adams and Justin Kluivert.
  • Ben Gannon Doak was stretchered off for Scotland over the international break and he is now unavailable for the hosts this weekend.

West Ham Team News

  • Lucas Paqueta has found some form for West Ham of late but the Brazil international midfielder is now sidelined for this one due to suspension as a result of too many yellow cards.
  • Niclas Fullkrug, who is expected to depart the London Stadium in January, is also an injury doubt for Nuno to deal with alongside Konstantinos Mavropanos.
  • Youngster Freddie Potts has enjoyed an impressive start to his West Ham career but he is being assessed ahead of the trip down to the south coast due to a dead leg.
