Antoine Semenyo starts again for Bournemouth against Everton tonight - two teams which account for four of the six Premier League players serving suspensions during the midweek round of fixtures.

The Cherries could move up from 11th to 7th (6th with a huge score) if they beat Everton tonight as two clubs licking their wounds from weekend setbacks square off at the Vitality Stadium. The match kicks off a big midweek of action complete with two huge betting offers!

Andoni Iraola's men were edged 3-2 by Sunderland, a result that felt more like a freak twist than a fair reflection as they generated the better chances but somehow failed to score a crucial third goal.

Everton didn't fare much better, thumped 4-1 by Newcastle at Goodison Park to snap a three-game unbeaten run. The 14th placed Toffees are searching for a response and a bit of momentum heading into this midweek clash on the south coast.

Bournemouth vs. Everton preview: Who will win today?

With their impressive home form, Everton's struggles on the road, and a head-to-head record that has heavily tilted in their favour, Bournemouth look well-placed to put things right and return to winning ways in front of the Vitality Stadium faithful this week. We think there will be plenty of goals too!

Head-to-Head Record: Bournemouth vs. Everton

  • Everton may have done the double over Bournemouth in 2023, edging a 1-0 win at Goodison Park in May before cruising to a 3-0 victory in October, but the broader picture still tilts heavily in the Cherries' favour. Before those two Toffees triumphs, Bournemouth had rattled off four wins on the bounce, meaning they've come out on top in eight of the last 10 encounters between the clubs.

  • History at Dean Court also leans the same way. Bournemouth have never lost a Premier League home fixture to Everton, with the Toffees' only away successes on this ground coming in cup competitions: once in the FA Cup during the 2015-16 season, and once way back in the 1985-86 League Cup.

  • Prior to the Premier League era, the sides met just three times. Everton took a 5-3 aggregate win in that '85–86 League Cup clash, and their very first meeting, in the 1936–37 FA Cup, ended in a resounding 5-0 victory over Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic.

Bournemouth vs. Everton Final Score Betting

The relentless run of fixtures is stretching squads across the league, and Everton simply don't boast the same depth as Bournemouth, particularly in the final third where the Cherries have far sharper reinforcements waiting in the wings.

Add in Bournemouth's formidable home form, and it's hard to look past Iraola's side finding a way to snap out of their slump. Expect goals, drama, and more likely than not, the hosts emerging on the right side of a lively contest.

Our Score Prediction: Bournemouth 3-2 Everton (28/1 with Bet365)

Bournemouth vs. Everton Team News, Injury Updates

Bournemouth Team News

  • Bournemouth's painful defeat at Sunderland came with an extra sting, as their discipline took a major hit. Lewis Cook's sending-off for an elbow on Noah Sadiki now leaves him sidelined for three matches, while both FPL favourite Marcos Senesi and David Brooks are suspended after picking up their fifth bookings of the campaign.
  • Although Cook and Brooks only came on after the interval, Iraola's defensive reshuffle is now unavoidable. With Senesi banned, 18-year-old Veljko Milosavljevic is expected to be thrown straight into the heart of the back line.
  • In terms of injuries, Ben Gannon Doak (hamstring) and Ryan Christie (knee) remain out until after Christmas. There is some good news, however, as Antoine Semenyo and Justin Kluivert returned at the weekend, with the latter pushing for a starting spot alongside Semenyo tonight.

Everton Team News

  • Everton aren't exactly sailing smoothly on the disciplinary front either. Idrissa Gana Gueye continues to serve his three-game suspension for the incident involving Michael Keane at Old Trafford. Tim Iroegbunam filled in against Newcastle but endured a rough opening 45 minutes before being withdrawn, meaning Carlos Alcaraz is in line for a rare start.
  • The Toffees are still without Seamus Coleman (thigh), Nathan Patterson (foot), Merlin Rohl (hernia) and Jarrad Branthwaite (thigh), but they at least emerged from Saturday’s defeat with no new additions to the casualty list.
