Arsenal and Manchester City meet at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon in the latest installment of their simmering Premier League rivalry

In the 213 head-to-head matches between these two sides, Arsenal have come out on top with 101 victories as opposed to City, who have only beaten the Gunners on 65 occasions.

Last season saw two heated contests between the sides, the first of which saw Rodri suffer his serious knee injury and John Stones equalise in added time - the second saw the Gunners hammer City 5-1 in the biggest league loss of Pep Guardiola's career.

Both trail early pacesetters Liverpool in the table (five wins from five), with questions aplenty around their title-challenging credentials.

City's rout of United in the derby last weekend helped their case, while Arsenal beat Nottingham Forest and Athletic Club in convincing fashion. A loss for either here, though, would be a huge blow.

The Sporting News has all the latest ahead of this huge clash including a stunning 40/1 sign up offer for new customers with Sky Bet

Arsenal vs. Man City prediction

This should be a extremely interesting clash with it a real test of both side's credentials this season. Arsenal have home advantage and could overpower City especially at set-pieces. That should see them secure a narrow but crucial win.

The Sporting News' score prediction

Arsenal 2-1 Man City

If you agree with our score prediction for Super Sunday, it's definitely worth having a look at Sky Bet's stunning sign up offer - new customers can get 40/1 odds on over 0.5 goals

Considering Arsenal are joint-top scorers in the league on nine goals and Erling Haaland alone has five already, this is quite the offer.

  • Both Arsenal and City are among the favourites to win the Premier League this season according to the odds.
  • Erling Haaland is the bookies' favourite to win the Golden boot but Viktor Gyokeres is not far behind.
  • Most of the favourite score picks for Arsenal vs. Man City are best price with Bet365
