Al Hilal reached the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup as one of four AFC teams to qualify for the new expanded tournament.

As winners of the 2021 AFC Champions League, the team from Riyadh will make their second appearance at the competition, after featuring in the 2022 edition.

With Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr not qualifying. Al Hilal represent the lucrative Saudi Pro League on the global stage. They had initially expected to do so with Neymar in their ranks, but the Brazilian will not be involved in the tournament.

Below, The Sporting News lays out their schedule for the competition.

Al Hilal's FIFA Club World Cup 2025 opponents

Al Hilal were drawn into Group H at a FIFA ceremony in December last year. Their three opponents are:

  • Real Madrid (Spain)
  • Salzburg (Austria)
  • Pachuca (Mexico)

Where will Al Hilal play their 2025 Club World Cup games?

Group Stage

Al Hilal's opening game was against Madrid at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.

They then head to Audi Field in Washington, D.C. to face Salzburg on Matchday 2, and then Geodis Park in Nashville for their final Group H match against Pachuca.

Knockout Stage

If Al Hilal finish top of their group, they will play their Round of 16 game at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium on July 1, then a possible quarterfinal at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Should they go through as runners-up, they will face the winners of Group G at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on June 30, with a potential quarterfinal at the same venue

Both semifinals and final take place at MetLife Stadium.

Why isn't Neymar playing for Al Hilal at Club World Cup?

Neymar was not selected in the Al Hilal squad for the tournament. The 33-year-old is on loan at Brazilian club Santos, having signed for his boyhood club back in January in an effort to regain full fitness and form following a long layoff with a knee injury. Santos are not playing at the Club World Cup.

Injuries have again restricted his involvement in the Brasileirao, but he did captain the side in their last game on June 6 — a 1-0 defeat to Club World Cup competitors Botafogo. He was sent off for two yellow cards, the second of which was awarded after he scored a goal using his hand.

Although his loan contract finishes at the end of June, it seems unlikely Neymar will be added to the Al Hilal squad for the knockout stage if they get that far.
