It looked like we would get the chance to see Jobe Bellingham play in the Premier League this season.

However, after helping Sunderland to promotion via the Champions playoffs, Jobe decided to follow in his brother Jude Bellingham's footsteps in joining Borussia Dortmund.

Jude had a great time at Dortmund and earned his move to Real Madrid off the back of it. Jobe's time with the Black and Yellow has not been so successful.

Jobe started well for Dortmund at the Club World Cup, where he scored and made an assist in four matches before a yellow card suspension.

His ban led to him not being involved in Dortmund's clash against his Brother's team. Real Madrid won that fixture, and Jobe has not had a goal involvement since the tournament.

Jobe has been used across the midfield in central, attacking, and defensive roles, but has often started on the bench.

The player is understandably frustrated by his lack of game time, and there is reported tension between his father, Mark, and the club.

This could lead to Jobe departing the Bundesliga side. According to TEAMtalk, "Manchester United and Crystal Palace, who showed interest last summer, are still monitoring closely, drawn by his physicality and technical gifts."

Will we see a Bellingham in the Premier League?

Jude is a star for England and Real Madrid, but has not yet played in the Premier League. His time with Birmingham was spent in the Championship.

He was linked with United before he signed for Los Blancos. However, United could sign his brother.

The Red Devils could do with some younger legs in their midfield with Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro now in their thirties.

Despite United's regard globally, it could be a smart move for Jobe to join Palace instead. They have a track record of developing young players, including Eberechi Eze, Michael Olise, and Marc Guehi.

Jobe will know that if he performs for Palace, then he will be able to move on to a bigger club. Oliver Glasner's side is also in the Europa Conference League this season, while United is not in any European competition.
