Manchester United are reportedly planning several squad exits in the January transfer window.
Ruben Amorim's place at Old Trafford remains uncertain amid a poor start to the 2025/26 campaign after the Portuguese coach was heavily backed in the summer transfer window.
The former Sporting CP boss wanted a complete revamp of his attack with £225m spent on Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund and Jadon Sancho all moved on in a combination of loan exits and permanent departures.
Despite the fanfare surrounding their arrivals, Sesko, Mbeumo and Cunha have managed just three Premier League goals between them, and Amorim has opted against utilising Joshua Zirkzee.
The Dutch international was linked a summer return to Serie A, after scoring just three league goals in his debut top-flight campaign, on the back of a 2024 transfer from Bologna.

The 24-year-old has played just 75 minutes off the bench in Premier League action this season and January loan suitors are being lined up.
As per reports from Teamtalk.com, West Ham United and Everton have both expressed an interest in bringing him in at the start of January, to boost their misfiring attacks.

David Moyes is struggling for consistency from Thierno Barry and Beto - whilst Niclas Fullkrug and Callum Wilson are not lighting up the London Stadium - but Real Madrid's Endrick Felipe is also a loan option for the Hammers.
Zirkzee is rumoured to prefer a move to remain in the Premier League, and United are open to an exit which keeps their options open on him in the long-term, as the uncertainty over Amorim continues.
