Manchester United face a host of contract decisions in 2026 with Harry Maguire and Casemiro both into the final year of their deals at the club.

United opted to activate a clause to extend Maguire's contract at the start of 2025, with his previous deal expiring at the end of the 2024/25 season, and they have a similar option in place once again.

However, this time around, the Red Devils not expected to renew the England international, despite the 32-year-old forcing his way into Ruben Amorim's team.

Doubts over Amorim's own future, alongside a wider drive to cut the squad salary budget, could spell the end of Maguire's time at Old Trafford.

Casemiro has insisted no decision will be made on his next step until after the 2026 FIFA World Cup next summer and the veteran midfielder has been linked with a return to Brazil or a switch to the Saudi Pro League.

As per reports from the Daily Mirror, Maguire could also be targeted by clubs in the Middle East, with a deal on the table from Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr.

Al Nassr and Al Ettifaq are both interested in Maguire, who can open free transfer talks with non-Premier League teams from January, and he would be in line for a major pay day in Saudi Arabia.

The former Leicester City defender confirmed the renewal for 2025/26 was decided by the club but previously hinted an exit in 2026 is very likely.

"I'm sure over the next few months they'll sit down and we'll have to have a conversation about where we want to go, and if they want to extend, and obviously the transfer window opens again in January."

Maguire and Ronaldo were teammates at United for 18 months, following the latter's return in 2021, and he could partner with former Barcelona centre-back Inigo Martinez is he makes the move to Al Nassr.
