Manchester United were busy on the final day of the Premier League transfer window.

As the summer deadline hit on September 1, Ruben Amorim successfully offloaded the final two members of his exit 'bomb squad' as Jadon Sancho joined Aston Villa on loan and Antony returned to Real Betis.

Amorim wanted both players out of his squad from September onwards after already moving on Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea and loaning Marcus Rashford to Barcelona.

The Portuguese coach also completed a bold move over his No.1 spot with Senne Lammens landing from Royal Antwerp.

United had been linked with a move to Villa star Emi Martinez, but that did not materialise, as the Argentinian signed a contract extension with Unai Emery's team.

Amorim has been wildly unconvinced by Altay Bayındır and Andre Onana so far in the opening four games of the 2025/26 season.

Bayındır has failed to keep a clean sheer in three Premier League outings with Onana in goal for the EFL Cup exit debacle at Grimsby Town.

Recent rifts with Onana has deepened Amorim's desire to offload the former Inter Milan stopper and United do have exit options available.

The transfer windows of Europe's 'top five' leagues have closed but the Turkish Super Lig remains open for business until September 12.

As per Teamtalk.com, United are hoping Galatasaray could make a move for Onana, after missing out on Martinez and seeing Ederson join rivals Fenerbahce.

There has been no firm interest in the Cameroonian at this stage but United could communicate their willingness to broker a cut-price deal to offload their error-prone keeper.
