Manchester United’s summer window has been all business — and it’s not done yet.

The club is reportedly pushing hard to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko before the September 1 deadline, and they’re doing it without needing a fire sale of unwanted players.

On paper, it looked like United were tight on funds after already spending big on Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

But thanks to some smart planning and a few outgoing loans, the Red Devils appear to have some room left in their budget.

The latest target? A 22-year-old Slovenian goal machine who has caught the eye of manager Ruben Amorim.

United’s PSR (Profitability and Sustainability Rules) situation seemed tricky earlier this summer.

Yet with Marcus Rashford’s full wages now off the books thanks to Barcelona covering his salary, and staggered payments for Cunha and Mbeumo, the math suddenly works.

Can Manchester United sign Benjamin Sesko this summer?

United reportedly see Sesko as the final piece in their attack. Earlier attempts to sign Viktor Gyokeres and Ollie Watkins didn’t work out, while Sesko’s name kept rising up the list.

Despite late interest from Newcastle — who see him as a potential replacement for Alexander Isak — United are now in pole position.

The Red Devils believe they can wrap up a deal worth up to £79 million without rushing to offload players like Jadon Sancho or Tyrell Malacia.

Though those exits may still happen, United are banking on movement closer to deadline day.

One club insider reportedly said the Rashford loan deal alone “created important flexibility.” Add to that money from sell-on clauses and a quiet winter window, and suddenly United are no longer boxed in.

Time is short, but the path is clear. If they move fast, United might just get their man — and possibly take Newcastle’s dessert right off their plate.
