With the arrival of Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp, Andre Onana needs to move on from Manchester United to secure game time.

Onana has not played for United in the Premier League this season, with Ruben Amorim favouring Altay Bayındir ahead of the Cameroonian.

Onana did feature in the disastrous defeat to Grimsby Town in the EFL Cup, but now will probably not even play in United's FA Cup games if he stays at Old Trafford.

If the goalkeeper is to play regularly this season, then he needs to depart United. Onana could find respite in the Super Lig.

Fabrizio Romano posted on X: "Trabzonspor reach verbal agreement with Manchester United to sign André Onana on loan.

"Club to club verbal agreement in place and final decision now up to Onana. It’s only up to the goalkeeper."

Trabzonspor is doing well in Turkey's top flight

Trabzonspor is not the biggest name in Turkish football, but they are flying in the country's top flight.

Galatasaray is the only team ahead of them after four Super Lig games.

Trabzonspor does not have the big names that Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, and Besiktas can attract.

However, they do have former Manchester City defender Stefan Savic in their squad.

If Trabzonspor are able to sign Onana as well, then their chances of keeping their great start to the season going should improve.
