Manchester City have not had a top right-back since Kyle Walker departed the club for AC Milan on loan last season, before joining Burnley permanently.

Walker was not the same player in his final days with City, but was a great servant to the club in his eight years at the Etihad.

Rico Lewis is now the club's only recognised right-back, with midfielder Matheus Nunes also filling in in the position.

City have lost their last two Premier League games, and if they are to challenge again for the title, then they will need a quality right-sided full-back.

Inter Milan's Denzel Dumfries could be their answer. According to Football Insider, "the 29-year-old is one of the options on Pep Guardiola‘s radar to improve at right-back."

City have also been linked with Newcastle United's Tino Livramento, but the 22-year-old England international is relatively inexperienced compared to Dumfries.

Dumfries has 67 caps for the Netherlands and has been a key player for Inter since 2021.

With Inter, Dumfries has won Serie A and has been to two Champions League finals.

His performances for Inter in European football's top competition have caught the eye. Last season in the competition, he notably scored an emphatic overhead kick against Barcelona.

Across both legs in Inter's semi-final win over Barca, Dumfries scored twice, with three assists.
