Manchester City have never really replaced Kyle Walker, but a new experienced right-back could be on his way to the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola has Rico Lewis and Matheus Nunes available to him. However, both players have never made the right-back position their own and are often deployed in midfield.

City have had a poor start to the new Premier League season, where they are currently eighth. Guardiola's side needs to strengthen if they are to challenge Liverpool and Arsenal for the title.

According to TEAMtalk, "City are monitoring the situation of Atletico Madrid right-back Nahuel Molina as they consider options for the new year."

Who is Atletico Madrid's Nahuel Molona?

Molona's most notable achievement is winning the World Cup with Argentina in 2022. He played in every game as La Albiceleste went on to beat France on penalties in the final.

He has 54 caps for Argentina and has also won the Copa America twice.

The right-back started his career in Argentina with Boca Juniors. He also spent time on loan at Defensa y Justicia and Rosario Central.

Molona got his chance in Europe with Udinese before moving on to Atletico.

The versatile player favours playing at right-back or right-midfield. However, he can also play on the left and centrally.
