One of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City players has echoed his views over the fixture scheduling for the Premier League side in the past week.
City played out a 1-1 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday (September 21), with the visitors often struggling to get up the pitch and gain any real control despite leading for much of the contest.
Both sides competed in the the Champions League last week. However, The Gunners visited Athletic Bilbao on Tuesday in an early-evening kick-off (September 16), while City hosted Napoli on Thursday night (September 18).
After drawing with Arsenal, Guardiola expressed his frustration with the fixture scheduling for his City side, as Mikel Arteta's men had over 48 hours more recovery time for the league clash.
The City manager told Sky Sports: "The game against Napoli was so emotional, and after we had a day of recovery, the day after we had to travel four or five hours, it’s more fatigue."

"The reality is we cannot come to one of the most important games in the season with such a disadvantage in terms of rest," the Portugal international told reporters when leaving the Emirates Stadium.
"It is not fair to play one of these games like this. It is just not right," the 31-year-old added.
Silva then revealed that he was not feeling fully fit during the contest with The Gunners due to the quick turnaround of games.
"I wasn't feeling in a perfect condition to play like this, and people who have not played at the highest level don't know how it feels to play a game like this. You need to be at your best condition," he explained.
The midfielder then confirmed that talks had taken place with the Premier League to avoid congested schedules, but to no avail.
"They don’t listen to us. It is what it is. We would like to change something. But it never changes. For the fans, for the clubs and for the fairness of the competition, I don’t think what happened was good."
The games are set to continue coming quick and fast for Guardiola's team, as they travel to face Huddersfield Town in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday (September 24), before hosting Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday (September 27).
