Manchester City may soon face a major change in goal as Ederson’s time at the club could be coming to an end.

After eight years of success and silverware under Pep Guardiola, the 31-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper is attracting strong interest from clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia, with a possible exit situation moving quickly.

According to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Galatasaray have officially enquired about the goalkeeper’s availability, and are awaiting a reply from City.

The report also indicates the former Benfica stopper is 'open' to the idea of playing for the Turkish club if his 'salary expectations' are met'.

Additional reports from SportsWitness state another offer has come from an unnamed club in Saudi Arabia, offering him around €25m [$29m] per year, which would make him one of the best-paid goalkeepers in the world.

City have not confirmed their plans for Ederson, but with his current contract only running until 2026, they must decide whether to extend his stay or cash in now while he still has good market value.

After a season in where Guardiola's team failed to win the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup or FIFA Club World Cup, changes are expected across the squad.

One of the club’s biggest leaders, Kevin De Bruyne, has already left this summer, and now Ederson could follow.

Man City scan La Liga to find Ederson replacement

Whilst nothing has been finalized yet, Guardiola is reportedly preparing for life after Ederson, by exploring fresh options in La Liga.

According to AS, the club has shown strong interest in Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen who is currently dealing with a difficult situation at his club.

The German has missed four straight training preseason sessions, and remains confined to the gym, due to ongoing back pain that has raised serious concerns among the coaching staff.

Manager Hansi Flick has reportedly told Ter Stegen he will not start the season as Barcelona’s first-choice goalkeeper following the arrival of Joan Garcia from Espanyol.

Barcelona have also renewed Wojciech Szczesny’s contract, which leaves Ter Stegen in an awkward position, with the World Cup just around the corner.

Barcelona are under pressure to reduce their wage bill and need to move players to meet La Liga’s financial rules which makes a deal for Ter Stegen more realistic than it would have been in previous seasons.
