Guardiola has expressed his desire to keep the Brazilian, with the manager seeing Savinho as a key young player.
The new deal will reflect Savinho's success during his first season at City, with the winger making 48 appearances in all competitions last season.
Savinho made his first start of the season in the Carabao Cup against Huddersfield Town, where he scored in City's 2-0 win.
