Manchester City are looking to add defensive reinforcements, with the club potentially aiming for a January move to add a right-back.
The club has been linked to Denzel Dumfries, and also made a move for Newcastle's Tino Livramento, but neither move panned out for Pep Guardiola.
A new target is emerging for City, with one of the most talented South American right-backs wanted by Guardiola and by rivals Manchester United.
Which right-back are Man City and Man United set to fight for?
According to TBR Football, City and United are both monitoring the situation regarding Atletico Madrid's Nahuel Molina.
Molina has fallen out of favor with Atletico's manager, Diego Simeone, who prefers Marcos Llorente at full-back.

Molina was linked with a move away from Atletico over the summer, with Nottingham Forest submitting an offer for the Argentine defender.
The right-back remained in Madrid to fight for his place, but with only one start on the season, Molina is said to be considering a move away in January. Atletico are also open to a move mid-season.
Molina has appeared 141 times for Atletico, scoring seven goals and assisting 13 times.
Molina is Argentina's first choice right-back, and his presence would help City's back line, with Guardiola interchanging Matheus Nunes and Abdukodir Khusanov as his current right full-back.
United are also interested in a new full-back, with defensive injuries being a persistent issue for Ruben Amorim's side.
