Manchester City are one of the many European teams to go through transformation this summer as Pep Guardiola is all set to get his house in order for the new season.

The Citizens have already begun their squad revamp since last January as they signed a few crucial players - Omar Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez, Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov.

However, City will continue the rebuild throughout the summer transfer window as they are monitoring different players. Currently, they are looking for a right-back after it was revealed that they have no plans of bringing back Kyle Walker from loan.

In Walker's absence, Guardiola has used Rico Lewis and Matheus Nunes in the right-back position. Despite their good performances, City are keen to bring a new right-back to replace Walker.

As per reports on FootMercato, Manchester City have verbally agreed terms with Juventus breakout starlet Nicolo Savona. The former Premier League champions were earlier interested in his teammate Andrea Cambiaso, but now they have shifted their target to Savona.

As per Tuttosport, Juventus are open to selling the young right-back this summer, and they are reportedly willing to accept an offer in the region of €20-€25 million.

City's representatives will reportedly keep in contact with Savona's agent as they believe a full transfer could be expected as soon as the transfer window opens.

Savona featured for the Juventus Next Gen team before making his debut for the Bianconeri senior team in the opening game of the 2024/25 Serie A season against Como.

Since then he featured in 36 matches for Juventus this season cross competition. Out of which 27 were Serie A outings while he played seven Champions League games.

Predominantly a right-back, the young defender has the physical strength and the technical ability to slot in as a centre back and also as a defensive midfielder. He is known for his defensive capability and ability to win duels in the final third.

As per reports, Liverpool are also interested in the young defender as he has impressed Arne Slot and could be a great addition to the team, especially when they need a right-back since Trent Alexander-Arnold's departure.

His current contract runs till 2029, and since he has come up through the ranks at the club, his sale will be net profit for the club, allowing them to invest the money in other areas.
