Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker is spending a period on the sidelines after picking up an injury in his team's 1-0 defeat to Galatasaray on Tuesday night (September 30).
The Brazilian went down with a hamstring problem after denying Victor Osimhen in the second half of the Champions League fixture in Istanbul.
Arne Slot sent on backup goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili to replace Alisson after the latter was unable to continue against the Turkish Super Lig side.
Worryingly, this is the fourth occasion in the past couple of years that Liverpool's no. 1 has sustained a hamstring issue.
Roughly 48 hours after The Reds' loss in Europe, it was revealed by The Athletic's David Ornstein that Alisson would be out of action for six weeks.
This means the 32-year-old will only be available for the Premier League holders after the November international break, potentially missing eight games for Slot's side.
