Liverpool have finally wrapped up their long-running transfer pursuit of Milos Kerkez.
Arne Slot has been tracking the Hungary international since the end of the 2024/25 season but Bournemouth refused to budge on their £40m asking price.
The Cherries secured Dean Huijsen's full £50m release clause as part of his move to Real Madrid ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
Andoni Iraola remained pragmatic over his chances of retaining Kerkez, as Liverpool pushed hard to complete a deal, but his arrival reopens the debate on Slot's left-back plans for next season.
Current first-choice Andy Robertson is reportedly considering an offer from Atletico Madrid amid rumours his role could be slashed in the months ahead.
The Scotland international has been a vital part of Liverpool's success under Jurgen Klopp and Slot, but the determination to bring in Kerkez indicates a change is coming, with Kostas Tsimikas' future also in doubt.

Kerkez openly answered questions put to him about the battle he faces to take Robertson's starting spot and the 21-year-old is full of admiration for his rival.
"Robbo is the best left back to have played in the Premier League for me and my brothers agree," he told LFCTV.
"To come here, and be next to someone who has so much experience, played for so many years at such a high level, and won the Champions League and everything else it's important for me."
After a return to training in July, Slot's charges kick off their preseason against Preston on July 13, before two games in Hong Kong and Japan.
