Liverpool are reportedly planning another major transfer move in 2026.

Arne Slot twice broke the Premier League transfer record this summer as he completed blockbuster deals for Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak.

However, the Reds hierarchy are prepared to back the Dutch coach again ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, as they aim to plan for the long-tern after Mohamed Salah.

Salah's superb form last season was rewarded with a contract extension as he and captain Virgil van Dijk signed renewals until 2027.

However, amid fresh speculation he could head to the Saudi Pro League next summer, Liverpool are assessing their options over replacements.

Michael Olise has been highlighted as a target, but he is under contract at Bayern Munich until 2029, and the Bavarians will demand at least £100m.

That has revived Liverpool's long-standing interest in Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo following a bold update from Vitality Stadium.

Reports from talkSPORT have confirmed a release clause is in place in the Ghanaian's contract but the Cherries are determined to retain him.

Does Antoine Semenyo have a release clause at Bournemouth?

Bournemouth acted swiftly to tie Semenyo down to a contract extension in July following the exits of Milos Kerkez, Dean Huijsen and Illia Zabarnyi.

His current deal runs until 2030, putting Bournemouth in a strong negotiating position, but the 25-year-old is rumoured to have requested a purchase clause.

The reports confirms Bournemouth value him between £70-85m, but the exact clause amount is unknown, and expected to be in the upper end of that valuation.

Andoni Iraola is deliberately not allowing the clause to become an open secret as he works to convince his talisman to stay on the south coast.

Semenyo already has six top-flight goals so far this season - including two at Liverpool -  plus three assists in league action.
