Arne Slot appears to be changing his stance over not making major squad changes at Liverpool this summer.
The Dutch coach had previously stated he was only looking for minor tweaks to his Premier League title winning team ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has moved on to Real Madrid, with Caoimhin Kelleher accepting an offer to join Brentford, and Darwin Nunez, Harvey Elliott and Diogo Jota all linked with exits.
Slot secured a Premier League transfer record deal to bring in Germany international Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen with a move for Milos Kerkez almost complete.
Kerkez's arrival could put pressure on Andy Robertson's place as first-choice at left-back with Ibrahima Konate also facing a future call over a contract extension.
Wirtz's arrival forces a rethink in midfield, but Trent's exit is expected to be covered by the quickfire deal to sign Jeremie Frimpong.

Frimpong and Wirtz will be reunited at Anfield - after winning the Bundesliga title together at Leverkusen - but the former Celtic man is not without his doubters.
The 24-year-old will battle with Conor Bradley for a starting slot but former Reds right-back Steve Nicol is concerned about how he fits into Slot's plans.
Liverpool legend concern by Frimpong's Anfield impact
Nicol won four top-flight titles at Liverpool in the 1980s as right-back under Joe Fagan and Kenny Dalglish.
However, the ESPN pundit claims concerns over a defensive weakness at right-back remain in place - after years of question marks over Trent's defending - with Frimpong's strengths lying in attacking areas.

"If Salah's not fit, then Frimpong starts where Salah plays. I'm interested to see what Slot wants him to do. Because right now, in my head, I'm thinking, 'Is he going to get in Salah's way?' - via Liverpool.com.
"Defensively, it's not good; it's just the same as Trent. He's not that good a defender.
"Going forward, he's got different attributes to Trent, but I keep ending up at the same thing, does he get in Salah's way? I think if everybody's fit, Bradley starts, not Frimpong. I don't see where he fits, I really don't."
Nicol's concerns are also backed up by some key 2024/25 data with Frimpong only finishing in the Bundesliga top 10 for non-defensive actions, including crosses into the opposition penalty area [18], progressive carries [100] and progressive passes received [272].
