Liverpool’s summer clear-out is showing little signs of slowing, with the Reds’ player sales now approaching the £200m mark.
Their latest deal sees highly-rated prospect Ben Doak leave Anfield to join Bournemouth in a deal reportedly worth £25m.
High-profile exits for the Premier League champions side include Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich for £65.5m, Darwin Nunez to Al-Hilal for £46.3m, and academy graduate Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen for £35m.
Caoimhin Kelleher, Tyler Morton and Nat Phillips have also been moved on, while Real Madrid paid a hefty £8.4m fee to secure the services of free agent Trent Alexander-Arnold earlier than expected for the FIFA Club World Cup.
Doak’s departure marks another piece of smart business from Liverpool, who have balanced spending with selling well as they look to defend their league title.

So, who is Bournemouth’s new signing?
Doak is a pacey and creative right-winger who will certainly improve Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola’s attacking options.
The 19-year-old leaves Anfield after making 10 senior appearances since joining the Reds from Celtic in 2022.
He signed a five-year contract at the Vitality Stadium, making him the Cherries’ fourth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Bafode Diakite, Djordje Petrovic and Adrien Truffert.
The Scotland international spent last season on loan with Middlesbrough, where he contributed 10 goal involvements in the Championship.
It has been reported by BBC Sport that Bournemouth had to fight off interest from other Premier League clubs, namely Leeds United, along with Portuguese side Porto.
Doak is expected to fill the void left by Dango Ouattara, who sealed a club-record £42m move to Brentford last week to replace Bryan Mbeumo.

“I’m buzzing to be here,” Doak said upon signing for the Cherries.
“I feel like it’s the right time for me and it’s a great opportunity to play regular football at the highest level. It feels like the perfect fit.
“The team play very nice football. It’s fast and it really suits my game, so I felt like I couldn’t say no to the chance to play here.”
Doak’s move continues a busy transfer period for Bournemouth, who have cashed on vital players Illia Zabarnyi, Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez for a combined £150m.
The Cherries have not been as active in the market this summer as they might need to be, though, with Iraola also admitting that his side “are not where they want to be” in terms of player signings ahead of their defeat to Liverpool last week.
The Spaniard was optimistic though, adding that “important movements” will be made before the transfer deadline on 1 September.
Doak is expected to begin training immediately, with a chance to make his Bournemouth debut at home against Wolves on Saturday (August 23).
