Joe Gomez struggled for game time at Liverpool last season, making just nine Premier League appearances.
This was partly due to a hamstring injury, and this season he has now made two substitute appearances in the league.
Gomez had to come on for the injured Ibrahima Konate in Liverpool's 1-0 win over Arsenal.
This injury could lead to Gomez staying at Anfield, with Arne Slot not yet willing to play the new signing, Giovanni Leoni.
However, there is still interest in Gomez. According to Fabrizio Romano on X: "AC Milan send official bid to Liverpool for Joe Gomez, negotiations underway.
"Understand it’s permanent transfer proposal with clubs discussing terms. Joe Gomez will be allowed to leave if Marc Guehi joins."

AC Milan already has an English contingent on their roster
Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are both currently with AC Milan, but they have not been able to force their way back into the England squad whilst in Italy.
Serie A was once considered one of the top European leagues. However, many players who struggle in the Premier League suddenly find their level in Serie A.
Kyle Walker was also on loan at Milan from Manchester City last season, but has now joined Burnley permanently.
If Gomez is to join Milan, then it will bring to an end a 10-year career at Liverpool.
