Birmingham City have had a solid start to life in the Championship, taking four points from their opening two games, but their ambitious owners are still looking to improve their squad.
Sky Sports has reported that "Birmingham City are interested in signing former Arsenal and Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain."
Oxlade-Chamberlain has been playing in Turkey for Besiktas since leaving Liverpool in 2023.
Birmingham's American ownership group, which includes NFL legend Tom Brady, aims to return the club to the Premier League.

Oxlade-Chamberlain began his career with Southampton, who were in League One at the time. His form for the Saints led to a dream move to Arsenal.
The midfielder went on to play for Liverpool, where he lifted the Premier League and the Champions League.
He is now 32 and has made only 18 appearances for Besiktas in the Super Lig last season.
Birmingham should be wary of recruiting a big name after their disastrous appointment of Wayne Rooney as manager during the 2023/24 season.
