Liverpool boss Arne Slot has offered a positive injury update over two stars forced off in the 1-0 Premier League win over Arsenal.
Dominik Szboszlai's rocketed free-kick secured a vital Anfield win over the defending champions closest rivals as a tight game tipped in favour of Slot late on.
However, a draining battle with Mikel Arteta's visitors came at a cost for the hosts, as Ibrahima Konate and Florian Wirtz were both replaced in the closing stages.
Konate dropped to the turf and struggled off with ten minutes to go and Wirtz was substituted as the game ticked past the 90 minute mark.
Both players are due to head off on international duty in the coming days ahead of key 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers for France and Germany respectively.
William Saliba has already pulled out of Didier Deschamps' France squad, after going off with an ankle injury after just five minutes at Anfield.

However, Slot insisted there's no major concern on either of his wounded soldiers, ahead of the international break.
"He [Konate] thinks it's cramp and I have no reason to doubt him, although sometimes players talk about cramp, and then we make a scan and it's more than that," Slot told LFC.com.
"Wirtz was not an injury, it was a welcome to the Premier League!
"After 85 minutes, I don’t think he knew he could have cramp in so many different places and that’s what happened. That's welcome to the Premier League, playing in this intensity against Arsenal, who can play really intense as well.

"If you bring in - as we do - very good players, so talented, but from different leagues and young - Florian is 22 and 23 Hugo [Ekitike] - it's normal if you are not 27 or 28 you maybe need to make a step towards the Premier League and that’s what these two are doing."
Liverpool have won all three of their opening games in the 2025/26 season and Slot's charges are back in action away at Burnley on September 14.
