Jamie Vardy called time on his incredible Leicester City career at the end of the last campaign, but has taken his time when choosing his next club.

Vardy still managed to score nine goals in 35 Premier League games for a struggling Foxes side that was relegated last season.

With the new campaign already starting, Vardy will be getting itchy feet because he has not yet signed for a new team.

According to The Sun, "Vardy has his “heart set” on a move to Celtic, and an emotional reunion with Brendan Rodgers - as he targets playing on until he is forty!"

Vardy lifted the FA Cup under Rodgers at Leicester and will be expected to win more trophies if he joins his old boss at Celtic.

The striker is now 38, and it is no surprise that he wants to continue playing as he started his professional career late after spending time in non-league football.

What other clubs are interested in Vardy?

The Daily Mail has reported that "Vardy has emerged as a surprise target for Napoli."

The Serie A side needs to sign a new striker following an injury to Romelu Lukaku. However, they have also been interested in Manchester United's Rasmus Hojlund.
