Chelsea have mastered the art of building a team out of extremely talented young players.
Now, Chelsea legend Ramires has made a bold claim regarding one such young player and tipped him for big things this season.
The Blues had one of the youngest sides in the Premier League last season, and that side has become even younger with the addition of Estevao Willian as a first-team regular.
While the young midfielder has made an impressive start to life at Stamford Bridge, there are plenty of other players who are vying for Enzo Maresca’s attention.
In fact, another midfielder has caught the attention of Ramires, and the Brazilian has made a bold prediction about the player going forward.
Ramieres is expecting big things from his Brazilian compatriot, Andrey Santos, for the rest of the season.

Ramires believes that Andrey Santos is set to become a key player for Chelsea
Unlike his compatriot Estevao Willian, Andrey Santos is yet to feature regularly for the Blues this season.
Despite making a few substitute appearances for the club so far, Santos is still patiently waiting for his first start of the season.

However, Ramieres believes that Santos is set to become a key player for Chelsea this season.
He told Simon Phillips’ Substack, “Andrey Santos is a talented midfielder with great potential. I’ve seen his ability to control the game and contribute both defensively and offensively. It’s important for him to keep developing his skills and adapting to the demands of the Premier League.
“If he continues to work hard and learn from experienced players, I believe he can become a key asset for Chelsea.”
It’s hard to disagree with Ramires’ assessment of Santos, as Chelsea see a lot of potential in the player.
Despite having sent him on loan for two years, the Brazilian very much seems to be in Chelsea’s scheme of things going forward. The Blues also rejected a late Saudi Arabian bid for Santos in the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old could be in contention for his first start of the season soon, as Chelsea have Champions League and League Cup commitments coming up thick and fast.
