It's bad news for Brentford as Antoni Milambo is confirmed out for the rest of the 2025/26 season after picking up an anterior cruciate ligament injury on international duty.
The midfielder was with Netherlands under-21s side when the impact occurred.
He last featured for the national side on October 10 in their U21 World Cup qualification match against Bosnia and Herzgovina.
Milambo was substituted off in the 46th minute.
Brentford have confirmed the 20-year-old will undergo surgery and rehabilitation for the rest of the season.
Milambo signed from Feynoord over the summer and has only played 45 minutes for the Bees in their Premier League opening day defeat to Nottingham Forest.
He also made appearances in their Carabao Cup wins over Bournemouth and Aston Villa.
