Neymar was once one of the most exciting players in Europe to watch when he was at Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. However, he has been a journeyman in recent years.

The Brazilian left PSG for Al-Hilal in 2023, but a cruciate ligament tear meant that he made just three appearances in the Saudi Pro League.

He then returned to Santos, whom he now captains. However, injuries have meant that he has only played 13 games in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A this year.

Neymar is now 33 and has not played for Brazil since 2023. Therefore, it could be time for him to head to MLS.

It has recently been revealed that Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets will be leaving Inter Miami at the end of the season as they are retiring.

Lionel Messi is still at the club along with Luis Suarez, and they will want the Herons to replace their outgoing friends.

The Daily Mail has reported that "Miami are working on new contracts for Messi, 38, and Suarez, also 38, but are also floating the prospect of adding 33-year old Neymar."

Could 'MSN' be recreated at Inter Miami?

Messi, Suarez, and Neymar were an iconic front three at Barcelona, which was nicknamed 'MSN.'

MLS is a division that has developed some very talented players in recent years. However, it still relies on star names to grow the game in North America.

Miami has an ambitious ownership that includes David Beckham, who will be keen to add more star players to its squad.

The Herons are also managed by Javier Mascherano, who played alongside Messi, Suarez, and Neymar at Barca.

With all the star players at Miami, the pressure is on them to deliver an MLS Cup title. They have secured their place in the playoffs this year, but are often criticised for not having enough young legs around their ageing star names.

As Neymar is in his thirties and does not have the best record when it comes to keeping fit in recent years, it would be a gamble by Miami to take a chance on him.
