Liverpool star Luis Diaz is moving closer to a decision over his future at Anfield.
Arne Slot's squad have returned for preseason training as part of their build up towards a Premier League title defence in 2025/26.
Summer plans and scheduling are still being assessed by Slot and the Liverpool hierarchy following the tragic death of Reds star Diogo Jota - however, their clash with Preston North End on July 13 will go ahead.
Following months of big spending, with Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Florian Wirtz all arriving at Anfield, Slot is planning sales to balance the books ahead of the new campaign.
Diaz has been consistently linked with a move to Barcelona since the start of 2025, after previously indicating his interest in making the switch to Catalonia, if conditions were suitable.
The Colombia international is rumoured to have a 'gentleman's agreement' in place which would allow him to leave Liverpool if an offer in the region of £70-75m lands for him.

The former Porto winger is under contract at Liverpool until 2027, and he recently confirmed his representatives are in talks over a renewal, but the 28-year-old wants better terms.
Bayern Munich have seen a bid turned down, as Diaz's preference remains as Barcelona, but the Catalan giants could have a major task in convincing him, following the Nico Williams debacle.

Both Bayern Munich and Barcelona are reportedly unwilling to offer above £51m for Diaz - which mirrors the release clause they were both considering to activate on Williams.
The Spain international shocked Barcelona at the start of July, after appearing certain to finally accept their transfer offer, before an agreement fell apart.
The 22-year-old has since signed a 10-year contract extension at Athletic Club amid rumours over his concern on how Barcelona would pay for him.

Athletic Club requested La Liga look into Barcelona's financial capability to pay the full clause up front after years of financial concerns for the club.
Williams also wanted assurances he would be registered as a La Liga player - following the circus surrounding Dani Olmo last summer - and the deal disintegrated.
As per reports from Spanish outlet Diario AS, Diaz has demanded similar contractual confirmation that he would be registered without issue, or he will not consider a move.
Diaz's agents could request a special break clause, where he could leave as a free agent, if he was de-registered at any point either by Barcelona or La Liga.
