Lamine Yamal was the Ballon d'Or runner-up this year to Ousmane Demebele. However, he did win the Kopa Trophy at the awards ceremony for the best player under the age of 21.
For an 18-year-old, Yamal has done extraordinarily well, having already won La Liga twice with Barcelona and the European Championship with Spain.
Watching him will remind fans of former Barca player Lionel Messi. Yamal is an exceptional talent who has scored 27 goals with 38 assists in 111 games for Barca.
It would take a massive amount of money to prise him away from Barca, who he is contracted to until 2031. However, one club with a track record of big money signings may just do that.
According to Defensa Central (translated from Spanish), "For some time now, Paris Saint-Germain has been very interested in signing Yamal.
"Parisians are so convinced that they're willing to pay 230 million for the player, making him the most expensive transfer in football, surpassing Neymar's 222 million."

Will Paris Saint-Germain break the transfer record again?
PSG seemed to have moved on from the days when they were signing big-name players. The experiment of having Neymar, Messi, and Kylian Mbappe did not work out.
They have since gone on to have success with Luis Enrique having a squad that is predominantly French players. This is no surprise as Paris is a breeding ground for many talented players.
Under Enrique, they finally won the Champions League last season. However, they fell short in the Club World Cup final unexpectedly to Chelsea.
PSG's new transfer policy does not mean that they will no longer be signing star players. Last January, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia arrived at the club for a reported fee of €80 million.
Kvaratskhelia was influential in PSG's Champions League victory. It would be exciting to see the Georgian playing on the left wing with Yamal on the right. However, PSG already has a talented right winger in Desire Doue.
As Yamal is so young, it may be a good investment to break the world record transfer fee again. However, it goes against the club's new transfer strategy.
