Harry Kane moved from his boyhood club, Tottenham Hotspur, to Bayern Munich to win trophies, which he has done.

Kane lifted the Bundesliga last season to claim his first piece of silverware. Another German league title will be expected this campaign after Bayern's perfect start.

Spurs also won a trophy last season, the Europa League, and many fans would have liked to have seen the England captain stay in his country.

The striker is 47 goals behind Alan Shearer's Premier League record of 260. However, a return to English football may not be on the cards for Kane.

El Nacional has reported (translated from Spanish), "At Barca, Kane is estimated to be the immediate replacement for Robert Lewandowski."

Could Harry Kane play alongside Marcus Rashford at Barcelona?

Kane and Marcus Rashford have starred together for England, but it would be exciting to see them play their club football together as well.

Rashford has had a slow start to his loan at Barcelona from Manchester United. However, he did score twice in Barca's 2-1 win over Newcastle United in the Champions League this week.

Barca could sign Rashford permanently for a relatively cheap figure. According to TEAMtalk, "Rashford’s loan deal contains an option to buy worth €30m / £26m."

Kane would be almost guaranteed of more silverware if he were to join the Spanish giants, too.

However, a return to Tottenham should not be ruled out. Spurs are now a very different club from the one he left, with Daniel Levy no longer the chairman of the club.

They have finally won a trophy after 17 years, and more success will be expected at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

A return to the Premier League would also mean that Kane could chase down Shearer's record of goals.
