The 25-year-old reportedly cited homesickness as one of the motivators to leave Pep Guardiola's side and he's impressed in flashes at Barcelona.
The main issue for Torres is Flick's commitment to starting his first-choice front three, with the former the odd one out, behind Lewandowski.
After Lewandowski confirmed his intention to stay for the 2025/26 season, Torres doubled down on his commitment to fighting for his place, after scoring a career season high of 19 goals as Barcelona won the treble in 2024/25.
However, the picture now looks to have changed following conversations with Flick, as the German coach sets out his plan to stick with Lewandowski for the next 12 months.
Keen to avoid stagnating ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup next summer, Torres will listen to Emery's offer, with Villa prepared to offer £45-50m.
