Arsenal are easily one of the most active teams in the summer transfer window. They are desperately looking to add strength and depth to their roster after finishing second in three consecutive Premier League campaigns.
The Gunners are actively looking to reinforce their attack, and hence they are looking to recruit forwards, wingers and attacking midfielders.
While several names have been linked with Arsenal, a new name has joined the list. As per the Greek news agency AMNA, the Gunners are close to signing Genk attacking midfielder Konstantinos Karetsas.
Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta are working in tandem to bring a prolific striker and a star winger. But amidst all the chaos, they are still looking out for young wonderkids all around the globe.
Over the years, Arteta has shown enough courage to field players irrespective of their age. Karetsas also falls under the same category, whilst the Greece international has enough talent at his disposal, he may need a season to get accustomed to the pace of the Premier League.
The youngster is hailed as one of the best talents in Europe in his position and could be an asset for the North Londoners if the move gets finalised. As per reports, they are in the advanced stages of negotiations with Genk to sign the 17-year-old attacking midfielder.

Who is Konstantinos Karetsas?
Karetsas has attracted a lot of attention with his sheer technical ability at the tender age of 17. He has already made his international debut for Greece in March 2025 and also became the youngest goalscorer for Greece in his second match against Scotland in the Nations League.

Born in Belgium to Greek parents, Karetsas played for Belgium until the U-21 level before deciding to opt for Greece. He instantly made an impact, and after his goals against Scotland, all the top clubs in Europe were after him.
TBF Football revealed in March that clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United have scouted the youngster, with teams like Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Chelsea also had him on their wishlist.
Predominantly a number 10, Karetsas can also play on either flank and in a deeper role in midfield. So if he moves to North London, he will be a utility player for Arteta.
As per several scouts, Karetsas' style of play has been compared to Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard and Olympique Lyonnais playmaker Rayan Cherki. He has excellent technical ability, great ball-progressing qualities, good vision and passing range.
Arsenal are reportedly very close to agreeing to the deal to sign the young attacking midfielder. Genk have slapped a €45 million (£38m) price tag on the 17-year-old.
