Arsenal secured a 2-0 win against Olympiacos in the Champions League, with the Gunners needing goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka to seal the game.

New signing Viktor Gyokeres hasn't scored in his last five games, but he has three goals in his first nine games for Arsenal.

He was influential in Martinelli's goal, with his shot deflecting into the Brazilian's path for the opening goal of the night.

Martinelli remains confident in his new teammate, even setting a massive target for the Swede's goal count.

How many goals does Martinelli believe Gyokeres can score?

In comments from The Standard, Martinelli expressed his admiration for Gyokeres, saying, "We are really happy with him. We trust him.

"We know his qualities, and he’s one of the top strikers in the world right now."

Gyokeres scored 54 goals in 52 games for Sporting Lisbon last season, and Martinelli believes he can again reach his full potential with Arsenal.

Martinelli continued, "We trust him, and we are trying to give him the confidence to score and to do his best on the pitch to help us.

"It’s really good to play with Martin [Odegaard] there because he’s always trying to find you when we make the movement.

"And for Viktor as well, his qualities, he likes to go in behind and attack the opposition’s box.

"So, I think him playing with Martin as well is going to be good for him. We are going to try to give him the ball as much as possible to make him score, I don’t know, 30 or 40 goals a season."
