Arsenal are aiming to secure another vital contract extension before the end of 2026.
The Gunners are prioritising contract renewals for their key stars following an agreement with William Saliba.
Amid transfer interest from Real Madrid, the France international has committed his future to the Emirates Stadium until June 2030.
Saliba's previous deal ran until the end of the 2026/27 season, but Mikel Arteta wanted the situation resolved to avoid it drifting to a final year/free transfer concern.
As part of his new deal, Saliba also landed a wage bump to become the third-highest paid player in Arteta's squad, on a weekly wage of £250,000.
Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus - both currently sidelined through injury - earn £280,000 and £265,000 respectively but that barrier could now be broken by Bukayo Saka.

As per reports from talkSPORT, Saka's representatives have been in renewal talks with the club in recent weeks, and the Gunners hierarchy are prepared to make huge offer.
Saka's current deal expires in June 2027, so a renewal is being sped up, which would bring his base salary at least on par with Havertz.

Arteta has already indicated the club are determined to retain their No.7, and the new agreement could nudge Saka ahead of Havertz as the club's outright top earner, but he will not break the historic record held by Mesut Ozil.
Ozil's final salary in North London included a £350,000 weekly wage prior to his January 2021 free transfer exit.
