The 2025 Grand Slam of Darts begins this weekend, with players like Beau Greaves starting what they hope is a long campaign in Wolverhampton.
This event will be the first time Greaves competes in an on-stage event since a lot has changed in her darting career, including her win against Luke Littler at the World Youth Championship, earning a tour card and finishing high on the rankings of some of the PDC's sub-tours.
If she can continue to build on those accomplishments to finish 2025, we could start having serious conversations about the consideration of having her in one of darts' most popular events.
Could Beau Greaves be in the 2026 Premier League of Darts?
The simple answer would be most likely not, but it shouldn't be completely ruled out.
A lot would have to go right for Greaves, but she has shown us already that she can continue to surprise fans by competing with the very best players that the game has to offer.
Greaves is only 21 years old, so what she's accomplished at such a young age already is extremely impressive.
Many darts fans knew about Greaves, but her win at the World Youth Championship semifinal over Luke Littler really helped shine the spotlight on her, as Littler lost this game in a stretch where he's been virtually unbeatable.

Grand Slam of Darts
Greaves will have a chance to gain more attention in the next week and a half, as she will play at least three group stage games.
She's qualified for this event in the last two years, but failed to make it out of the round-robin/group stage.
She came very close to making it to the knockout round in 2023, beating Ricardo Pietreczko, and only narrowly losing 4-5 to both Damon Heta and Nathan Aspinall.
2024 wasn't as strong a year at the event for her, winning a game against Cameron Menzies but losing two non-competitive games, against Danny Noppert and Martin Schindler.
This year, she has a group featuring Michael van Gerwen, Gary Anderson and Niko Springer.
If she manages to advance out of this group, it will not only add prize money to her ranking total but also show the world that she can play with some of the all-time greats and one of the PDC's best young talents.

PDC World Youth Championship Final
Greaves will play Gian van Veen in the World Youth Championship Final in a couple of weeks, which can help provide her with even more exposure.
The event has been taking place since 2011. It would be the first time a woman has ever won the event.
Some notable names who have won this tournament include Luke Littler, Josh Rock, Gian van Veen, Luke Humphries, Michael Smith and others.
There's definitely a correlation between winning the event and having success later on in a career, which is a good sign for Greaves.
Van Veen just won his first major a few weeks ago, winning the European Championship, so Greaves could make a statement by beating a top-10-ranked player who has made a strong case to make the Premier League lineup next year.

PDC World Championship
The previous two events that she'll be playing in through the PDC can help her case for a potential Premier League bid, but none come close to the World Championship stage.
This is an event she's played in once before, but at the time wasn't playing at the level we've seen her play this year.
Greaves is no doubt one of the most talented players to qualify through the international qualifier route for the PDC WC so far, so she could have the opportunity to knock out a big name early on in the event if she has a good day.
That ultimately will be what she needs, as unless she goes on to win the event, she won't be an automatic qualifier (top-4 on Main OoM at the end of the year) and will have to be one of four players chosen by a committee to join the top-4 ranked players in the world in the 2026 Premier League.

Can Greaves do it?
As I said before, her result at the World Championship will carry the most weight on whether or not it actually happens, so it all depends on how the draw looks and if she can take advantage of it.
Luke Littler was able to make the Premier League solely on his 2024 World Championship performance, which was finishing as the runner-up, but his ability to become a fan favorite instantly helped drive the decision-making.
Greaves tends to be quiet on stage, which could hurt her in this area, but everyone loves a good underdog story, so she could still gain a lot of supporters if she puts together early tournament wins.
The PDC wants to do what's best for them, which means catering to the fans and making some unorthodox decisions at times, so we'll have to wait and see what happens in the next two months.
