Summer is around the corner, which means sports fans will have nightly entertainment in the form of Big Bash cricket to go along with their BBQ dinners and Zooper Dooper desserts.

Entering its 13th year, the annual domestic T20 tournament will be condensed in the 2023/24 season to help the fan-friendly nature and coincide with school holidays across the country. 

BBL|13 will feature some of the biggest names from Australia and abroad, with the season kicking off in early-December and running through until late-January.

The Sporting News has all the details on the Big Bash season kick-off and schedule below. 

When does the Big Bash start?

This year's Big Bash season will begin on Thursday, December 7th with a clash between the Heat and Stars.

The tournament will run through the summer and conclude with the final on January 24th.

Every game of BBL|13 will be broadcast live on Fox Cricket and streamed on Kayo Sports, while free-to-air viewers can catch select matches on Channel 7 and their streaming arm.
