Piers Morgan lauds Jofra Archer's aggression as England pacer sends Rishabh Pant packing at the start of Day 5 at Lord's image

England started Day 5 on a fiery note as set batsman KL Rahul and in-form wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant were sent back to the pavilion very early by Brydon Carse and Jofra Archer, respectively.

England needed early wickets to put pressure on the Indians, who were chasing a relatively low total of 193 and they did exactly the same.

Archer also dismissed all-rounder Washington as the visitors were reduced to 83/7 at one point. The English pacer, however, was particularly in an aggressive mood while dismissing Pant.

Archer's unplayable in-swinging delivery went straight through Pant's defence and knocked down the stumps. As the Indian batter was preparing to walk off the pitch, Archer approached him and murmured something very aggressively.

Piers Morgan lauds Jofra Archer's aggression

Famous British journalist Piers Morgan was elated to see Archer on song as he lauded the fast bowler's behaviour after taking Pant's wicket.

He also issued a warning to rivals Australia ahead of the Ashes series later this year as he hoped Archer would be equally useful against the world champions.

On 'X', Morgan wrote: "Archer steaming in, bowling thunderbolts and giving the Indians plenty of chirp. So great to have him back.. the Aussies will be starting to panic about him leading the attack in the Ashes."

What next for England and India?

Englad will hope that their pace attack will pick up the remaining three wickets quickly to wrap up the game, while India's hope now lies on Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Kumar Reddy, who are currently on the crease.
