Joe Root, 34, is England's all-time highest run scorer and just 5th in the Test all-time list as he chases Sachin Tendulkar's record 15921 runs after already breaking into the top-5 with 13000 to his name in 154 Tests.

As India started their tour of England in Headingley, the England number 4 added 28(58) on the board before nicking one off Jasprit Bumrah to the first slip.

The current world number 1 batter has been in supreme form in recent years as he looks to breach every possible record there is in Test cricket with fitness and age on his side.
