India and England are set to lock horns at Edgbaston as the series continues as part of the World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle.

England took a 1-0 lead in the series after beating India by five wickets at Headingley. While the visitors looked to be in the game during phases, they failed to keep the momentum over the five days

IND vs. ENG 2nd Test, Day 5 LIVE: Win Probability, odds & scores:40 

9:40 pm: India have stormed back in emphatic style to level the series 1-1, decimating England by 336 runs in a historic win at Edgbaston. This victory marks India’s first-ever Test win at the iconic venue in nine attempts, breaking a long-standing jinx in dominant fashion.

Akash Deep grabbed 10 wickets in the match and rattled the English lineup with his sharp nip and skiddy pace on a surface that offered little to the seamers.

8:15 pm: India has sent back captain Stokes through an LBW off Washington Sundar and are in the driver's seat to win the match.

England needs 412 runs and India needs 4 wickets to win. Smith hanging in at 69* with Woakes 6* as they try to save the Test.

6:30 pm: India has started off the final day positively with two wickets for Deep, who is on 4 wickets now.

As expected, England is going for a draw as Stokes (18*) and Smith (22*) look to stitch a partnership. India needs 5 wickets to win. 

5:05 pm: We are finally underway on Day 5 as England needs 536 runs and India needs 7 wickets to win the match. Prasidh Krishna starts with the ball for India as we see how Pope (24*) and Brook (15*) go about the business. 80 overs to be played on the day.

4:40 pm: The rain is back, and there will be a further delay in the start of Day 5.

4:15 pm: The covers have started coming off at the venue. However, the outfield is still wet, and the umpires are inspecting the playing conditions.

03:45 pm: It has been raining since the morning in Edgbaston with precipitation expected to drop after 03:30 pm. The day's play will be affected, 90 overs seems unlikely today.

IND vs. ENG 2nd Test, Day 4 LIVE: Win Probability, odds & scores

11:00 pm: After setting a massive target of 608, thanks to Gill’s ton and Akash Deep’s heroics, the visitors reduced England to 72/3 in 16 overs. England face a massive task ahead with Pope (24*) and Brook (15*) at the crease.

9:15 pm: Gill (155*) and Jadeja (65*) continue to pile on runs as India reach 403/4 after 80 overs. The duo’s solid stand has put India in a strong position

8:05 pm: Shubman Gill is nearing yet another century. India have a lead of 480 runs now, with six wickets in hand. It will be interesting to see when India declared. After 65 overs, India are 300/4.

06:55 pm: India have extended their lead to over 400 runs, thanks to Rishabh Pant's quick half-century; he scored 65 runs off 58 balls before getting out. Skipper, on the other hand, is also in his sixties, scoring at a good strike-rate. India will be looking to push the lead around 500 runs before declaring. After 49 overs, India are 243/4.

04:50 pm: India are going strong with their lead extended to over 300 runs. They have lost Karun Nair and KL Rahul for 26 and 55 runs, respectively. After 29.1 overs, India are 126/3.

3:30 pm: Karun Nair (7*) and KL Rahul (28*) come in to help India get a substantial lead on Day 4 of the Test as India sits in the driver's seat with a lead of 244 runs. Chris Woakes will start the day for England with the ball. 

IND vs. ENG 2nd Test, Day 3 LIVE: Win Probability, odds & scores

10:55 pm: India are well in control at 64/1 after 13 overs, extending their lead to 244 runs. KL Rahul (28*) and Karun Nair (7*) are settling in calmly after the early loss of Jaiswal. India have shown sharp intent with both bat and ball, learning from their Leeds mistakes and firmly dictating terms in this Test.

9:50 pm: England finish on 407 all out, thanks to a brilliant 303-run stand between Jamie Smith (161) and Harry Brook (157). But once the second new ball was taken, India stormed back, taking 5 wickets for just 31 runs. 

8:50 pm: After 80 overs, England have cruised to 376/5, with Harry Brook (157* off 229) and Jamie Smith (161* off 179) still unbroken. The pair continues to bat with authority with the bowlers struggling to make a breakthrough.

7:40 pm: After 65 overs, England have piled on the runs, reaching 325/5. Jamie Smith (150* off 149) and Harry Brook (117* off 169) continue their relentless assault on the Indian bowlers. The Indian attack looks short of answers as England tighten their grip on the match. 

6:30 pm: After 50 overs, England have reached a strong position at 263/5. Harry Brook (97 off 134) and Jamie Smith (110 off 93) have led a steady assault on the Indian bowling lineup, finding runs with ease. 

5:00 pm: Harry Brook (61*) and Jamie Smith (59*) doing the recovery work with a counterattack after Mohammed Siraj scalped 2 in 2 to send back Root on 22 and captain Stokes on a golden duck. England 175/5.

3:30 pm: Start of day 3! After providing some stability late on Day 2, Joe Root (18*) and Harry Brook (30*) will start the moving day of the Test with an aim to score big runs as they trail by 510 runs. Akash Deep will start with the ball in his hands for India. England 77/3.

IND vs. ENG 2nd Test, Day 2 LIVE: Win Probability, odds & scores

11:00 pm: England have stumbled to 77/3 at the end of Day 2's play. Root and Brook are steadily carrying the innings after the bad start their team had. India still has a lead of over 500 runs.

9:55 pm: India are off to a perfect start with Akash Deep taking two wickets in two balls - dismissing Duckett and Pope in just the 3rd over of the innings. Siraj then dismissed Crawley to restrict England to 25 runs for 3 wickets in the 8th over.

9:20 pm: India are bowled out for 587 runs, just 13 runs short of 600 after being 211/5 at one stage. England look tired and with India in control, the pressure is now on their batters to respond.

7:18 pm: India are close to posting 500 runs thanks to a brilliant double hundred from captain Shubman Gill. India 496/6 after 126 overs.

5:30 pm: LUNCH! India 419/6. A steady start to Day 2 as Shubman Gill still going strong at 168 runs. Ravindra Jadeja was dismissed for 89 runs. The seventh-wicket partnership helped India cross the 400-run mark. 

5:10 pm: India have gone unbeaten in the session so far with Ravindra Jadeja batting on 80 and Gill crossing his career best and unbeaten on 158. India 399/5.

3:30 pm: Start of Day 2! The Indian captain Shubman Gill (114*) and Ravindra Jadeja (41*) start the day with a task to add big runs for England to trail on Day 2 as they resume at 310/5. England captain, Ben Stokes starts the proceedings with the ball.

STUMPS: End of Day 1, 2nd Test: India closed Day 1 at 310/5 after 85 overs in the 2nd Test at Edgbaston. Shubman Gill remained unbeaten on 114 (216), while Ravindra Jadeja supported with 41* (67). Earlier, Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed 87 off 105 balls, setting a new record for the highest Test score by an Indian opener at this venue. India will resume Day 2 with five wickets in hand and the momentum on their side.

5:30 pm: India lost two more wickets: Rishabh Pant and Nitish Reddy. Gill has steadily reached his 50. After 70 overs, India are 246/5.

4:30 pm: At the end of 55 overs, India are 183/3. Jaiswal missed scoring the century - got out on 87, caught by Jamie Smith, bowled Stokes.

2:53 pm: India are 143/2 after 40 overs. Jaiswal is scoring quickly while Gill is steadily supporting. Jaiswal is also nearing his century.

1:44 pm: The match resumes after Lunch. Can Jaiswal and Gill stitch a long partnership?

1:03 pm: LUNCH! India 98/2 after 25 overs. After KL Rahul, Karun Nair has also returned to the pavilion. Yashasvi Jaiswal not out at 62, Gill has posted 1 run in 6 balls.

12:16 pm: India 45/1 after 15 overs. Karun Nair has stepped in at the No.3 slot. 

11:40 am: WICKET! KL Rahul chops the ball back onto the stumps. Chris Woakes nips the ball back in from good length as the Indian batter was late to bring his bat down. Rahul b Woakes 2(26)

11:02 am: The match is underway in Birmingham. Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul are on the crease as Chris Woakes begins proceedings with the ball.

10:45 am: India have made three changes. Akash Deep, Nitish Reddy and Washington Sundar replace Bumrah, Sudharshan and Shardul. Kuldeep Yadav failed to make the lineup.

10:30 am: England have won the toss and opted to field first.
