Her knock powered Northern Superchargers to 214 for 5 - the highest total in the Women's Hundred so far and ultimately helped them dismiss London Spirit for 172, securing a 42-run win.

Davina Perrin's blazing innings in The Hundred

Perrin reached her fifty off just 25 balls - hitting a series of sixes over deep square leg, long-off and long-on. She kept the pressure on London Spirit - clearing the boundary with an 82-metre slog over deep mid-wicket.

Alongside contributions from Phoebe Litchfield (35) and Nicola Carey (31*), Perrin ensured Northern Superchargers posted a daunting total. Asked about falling one ball short of Brook's 41-ball century, Perrin laughed:

"One ball? Damn. I'd better hit the gym so I can send those sixes a bit further."

Her innings was a mix of precise placement and raw power - including an expertly timed late cut for four to bring up her century. Northern Superchargers' bowlers then restricted London Spirit's chase.

Grace Ballinger took 3 for 22 while Annabel Sutherland took another three wickets. Although Georgia Redmayne scored an unbeaten 50 and Charli Knott made 40 off 16, London Spirit could not recover from early setbacks - leaving Perrin's innings as the decisive factor in the game.

Perrin's century not only propelled her into fourth place on this season's run-scorers list with 243 runs but also showed her potential as one of the brightest young talents in the Women's Hundred.
