Michael Conlan vs. Jack Bateson is on September 5 from the 3Arena. The main card starts at 9 p.m. BST and the main event should begin around 10:30 p.m. BST, depending on how long the undercard fights last.
A 2012 Olympic bronze medalist, Conlan (19-3) was on the rise until 2022, when Leigh Wood knocked him out of the ring. Since that loss, the former interim champion has gone 3-2, including a 2-2 stretch over his last four fights.
Conlan looks for his first two-fight win streak since 2022. He’s also ready to earn another world title opportunity in what could be his last chance within the sport.
"I’m a realist and I know that this is my last run, so it’s not like I’m going, ‘OK, this could be the last one,’ It’s nothing like that," Conlan said via Boxing Scene. "I’m here to do everything I can to achieve my goal, but it’s very new and it’s nice. I feel good. I feel comfortable. Training with Grant (Smith) has been fantastic."

Bateson (20-1-1), a 2013 European Championships bronze medalist, has won English super bantamweight gold. On a four-fight unbeaten streak, he fought Danny Quartermaine to a draw in December.
Boxing has long been a part of Bateson's family. Now, with a main event spot, he’s ready to make the most of the opportunity.
"I've worked as hard as anyone in this sport, and I feel like I've probably done a similar route to some of these superstars," Bateson said via The Ring. "I’ve been on Team GB and won medals at international tournaments.
"When I turned over, I built my way up on my dad's shows and the small, little shows and won the English title. Then I won the WBA Intercontinental, and I got beat by a world champion, and not many opportunities have come. They’re here now, and I just need to make the most of this."
