Junto Nakatani has fellow Japanese boxing superstar Naoya Inoue in his sights as he steps up to super bantamweight for the first time.
Three-weight world champion Nakatani (31-0, 24 KOs) takes on undefeated and heavy handed Mexican Sebastian Hernandez (20-0, 18 KOs) in Riyadh on Saturday.
Inoue's sixth defence of his undisputed title at 122 pounds against Hernandez's compatriot Alan Picasso is the main event on the Ring V: Night of the Samurai card.
Nakatani is boxing as chief support and if both men win as anticipated, they are expected to clash in a superfight at the Tokyo Dome in May 2026.
