The 45th Ryder Cup is here as Europe look to retain their title against the USA at Bethpage Black and Betfair have marked it with a stunning sign-up offer

The Sporting News has been building up to Friday's tee off, checking the latest Ryder Cup odds and bookmakers' favourite to win for the most prestigious team event in golf.

Europe are the current holders having won in comprehensive fashion two years ago in Rome but the Americans now have the home advantage, which has proved so significant in recent years.

Betfair are offering new customers 50/1 odds on Team Europe to win the famous trophy once again. This is running in parallel to Paddy Power's 50/1 for either team to win.

Europe haven't won Stateside since the Miracle in Medinah in 2012 and are not favourites with the bookies, but are definitely in with a great chance of retaining their trophy. Here's a step-by-step guide for taking the sign-up offer on Betfair.

How to claim Betfair's 50/1 odds on Team Europe to win

  • Open a new account using promo code ZSACFM
  • Deposit a minimum of £10 by Card or Apple Pay.
  • Place a max £1 bet on "Europe to win" in the winner market for the Ryder Cup this weekend.
  • If the bet wins, you will be paid in cash based on the normal price on site and will have the extra amount, bringing the bet up to the cumulative 50/1 payout, credited in free bet builders.

2025 Ryder Cup Predictions

Despite the home crowd and having several of the supposed best golfers in the world, the US also have a rookie captain in Keegan Bradley and have struggled for team unity several times in recent memory.

That is not the case for the Europeans, with Luke Donald looking to lead his side to a second consecutive title and togetherness being a staple of the team for decades as they take on the might of the US.

With Tommy Fleetwood entering the event off the back of his first PGA Tour title and emotional leader, as well as best player and Ryder Cup legend, Rory McIlroy now a Masters champion and Grand Slam winner, Europe have the big guns to make a big impact. They also have excellent strength in depth with Jon Rahm, Justin Rose and Shane Lowry all capable of magic.

It'll be tight and hopefully an epic for the ages but we're tipping Europe to pull off a major win and keep the trophy for another two years.

Where to watch the 2025 Ryder Cup:
