For Liverpool, the moment has arrived. The 2025 Premier League champions, crowned four matches early, will lift the league trophy alongside their fans for the first time in 35 years as they sign off a stellar season.

Having been unable to celebrate in front of their own fans when they won the title back in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this Sunday they finally get the chance when they host Crystal Palace on the final day of the Premier League season, but the recent FA Cup winners already know plenty about spoiling the party.

The Reds will continue to celebrate their 20th domestic league title — equalling Manchester United's English record — but they have not actually won since their triumph: they lost to Chelsea (3-1), drew with Arsenal (2-2), and in their last match went down 3-2 Brighton thanks to a late Jack Hinshelwood goal.

Although nothing will erase the smiles of a club that has proved to be a deserved champion this season with a huge lead over their rivals, Arne Slot's Liverpool team will still want to go on holiday with a win.

Crystal Palace, meanwhile, are also experiencing days of joy. The Eagles, managed by Austrian Oliver Glasner, pulled off a stunning upset at Wembley when they defeated Manchester City 1-0 to win the first major trophy in their history. They claimed a 1-0 victory on their last visit to Anfield and are looking for another triumph in a match that will be repeated in August for the 2025/206 Community Shield.

Despite their post-title blip, Paddy Power still favour Liverpool for this one, with the champions available at 4/11. A Crystal Palace win rises to 5/1 while the draw is 9/2.

Here's our predictions and tips to make this match even more exciting.

Liverpool vs. Crystal Palace prediction, tips, bet builder and odds

Under 3.5 total match goals — 8/11 (Betfair)

Although Liverpool are the team with the most goals scored in the Premier League (85 in 37 matches) and Crystal Palace scored four against Wolves in their previous match, the most recent history between these two teams suggests a game without too many chances: the last five meetings at Anfield have seen three or fewer goals. The Reds won three of those (2-0 x2, and 3-0), drew once (1-1) and The Eagles flew high (1-0) in the aforementioned match in 2024.

Luiz Diaz to score at anytime — (11/8, betway)

For Colombian Diaz, Sunday's happiness is twofold. In addition to winning his first Premier League title with Liverpool, he'll also finish 2024/25 as his best European season in terms of goals. With 17 goals in all competitions, Diaz has become a Liverpool fans' favourite, and he usually plays his best at Anfield: he has three consecutive goals at home (West Ham, Tottenham, and Arsenal) and will look to close out the Premier League campaign with another against Palace, against whom he already scored at home in the 2022/23 season.
