Denmark vs. Scotland prediction, lineups, odds and bet builder tips for World Cup qualifier image

A victory over Norway in Oslo in qualification for UEFA EURO 2024 is what gave Steve Clarke and Scotland lift off in that campaign, as they now prepare to take on Denmark in Copenhagen looking for further inspiration.

Denmark have former Anderlecht boss Brian Riemer at the helm after the impressive stint in charge of Kasper Hjulmand, albeit the Danes did begin to tail off during his tenure. Scotland have significantly tailed off under Clarke, with the Tartan Army seeking a return to the FIFA World Cup, with no appearance since France in 1998.

Denmark were entertaining to watch in a recent quarter-final in the UEFA Nations League, whilst Scotland were relegated to League B after a hammering at the hands of Greece at Hampden Park in March.

The Sporting News previews this one with the latest betting odds, tips and predictions

Denmark vs. Scotland prediction

Denmark have shown signs of being able to get their exciting attackers to finally flourish, as was the case in a 5-0 demolition of Lithuania in June, and they are favourites at the Parken.

Paddy Power have Denmark as the firm favourites for this qualifier, priced up at 1/2, with underdogs Scotland out at 11/2 and the draw valued at 14/5 by the bookmaker.

The Sporting News' Score Prediction: Denmark 2-1 Scotland

  • Denmark to beat Scotland is viewed as a 66.7% possibility by Paddy Power.

Denmark vs. Scotland team news

  • Rasmus Hojlund will hope his move to Napoli can reignite his international career, too, but he is missing from the squad with Denmark’s key striker now Mika Biereth, who enjoyed an exceptional start to life at Monaco last season.
  • Scott McTominay is the golden boy of Scottish football and should form a part of a four-prong central midfield for the Scots alongside Ryan Christie, John McGinn and Billy Gilmour.

Denmark vs. Scotland Bet Builder tips

Our bet builder for this game is for Denmark to win (1/2), with under 3.5 goals in the game (2/7). As well as that, backing John McGinn to commit two or more fouls (10/11) and Mika Biereth to score at anytime (5/4), which comes to combined odds of 7.35/1 with Paddy Power
