Belarus vs. Scotland prediction, lineups, odds and bet builder for World Cup qualifier image

Scotland will be aiming to build on a positive start to their World Cup qualifying campaign when they take on Belarus on Monday night.

Steve Clarke's men battled to a very impressive point away in Denmark, and will be looking to get their first win when take on the minnows. While it counts as another away fixture, the game will take place in neutral Hungary due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, and Belarus' involvement in it.

The Eastern European country got off to the worst possible start in their bid to make a first-ever World Cup, being hammered 5-1 in Greece, leaving their slim hopes hanging by a thread already.

The Sporting News has all the latest odds, tips and predictions for this one.

Belarus vs. Scotland prediction and odds

Scotland should really have too much for Belarus here, who can't even count on a full home crowd in their efforts.

A win here would really build belief in a first World Cup appearance since 1998, and we think they will get it rather comfortably.

The Scots are strong favourites at 11/20 with Ladbrokes with Belarus back at 11/2. The draw is 29/10.

The Sporting News' Score Prediction: Belarus 0-2 Scotland

  • Scotland to beat Belarus is given a 64.5% probability by Ladbrokes.

Belarus vs. Scotland team news

  • Herman Barkouski should get the nod from the start for Belarus having come off the bench to score their only goal in the heavy loss to Greece.
  • It would be a surprise if Clarke makes any changes to the XI that performed so well against Denmark.
